Everything he touches is Goldfinger. This time 007 is chasing after the gold lusting Auric Goldfinger. With his Korean henchman Oddjob and a gallery of beautiful women, Goldfinger plans to detonate an atomic bomb in Fort Knox. Sean Connery looks more in control of his legendary character and Gert Frobe is the best villain of the series. This film became the blueprint for the rest of the series. Highlights include the most famous car in the world, the Aston Martin DB5, Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore, Shirley Eaton as the gold painted ex-girlfriend of Goldfinger and the climatic fight between Bond and Oddjob. A sensational script by Richard Maibaun and Paul Dehn and a wonderful score by John Barry with Shirley Bassey belting out the title tune. In my opinion, the filmmakers made Ian Fleming’s weakest novel into the best film of the series.
Most Memorable Dialogue:
Bond: "Do you expect me to talk?"
Goldfinger: "No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"
